Built in the 1970s, Cape Smokey has delighted visitors with exceptional skiing from mountain to ocean along one of Canada’s most scenic and popular destination areas.

For the last 10 or more years, Ski Cape Smokey operated under the passion and perseverance of local community volunteers.

In 2019, new owners finalized the details of purchasing the property to make into a year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. Destination Cape Smokey sees the potential the ski hill and area have to offer and have committed to limited operation of the ski hill and lodge facilities as it transitions to a new, year-round destination.

From a nonfunctional chair lift to Atlantic Canada’s first and only Gondola, Cape Smokey is devoted to becoming eastern Canada’s premier all-season resort and family destination.
